Let’s take a poetic break from narratives and immerse in poetry for this week. Poetry can be an amazing means to explore one’s own self and resolve and unwind one’s feelings and thoughts.
We are happy to share a piece of poetry written by one of our ‘Nihit’ participants, Namrota Ghosh.
PREGUNTA
Why should I combat and for whom?
Who matters, and who not?
My love is honest or my hatred?
God’s grace is found only in temples or tempest?
Who is worthy, who not?
Why does the beloved go away from sight?
Why melody jiggles in sad tones?
Why silent nights are consort of deepest thoughts?
Are my queries audible?
But answers I cannot hear.
My heart is hurt by your silence
Let your sound break it.
Oh! Lord, my sweet Lord
I found faith in you, now and then
Odd is the silence, more awkward are my queries.
But both the answers, I believe lie with you and only you.
