- Whenever you talk to someone, move your body in their direction, keep your body open, lean in slightly to listen better, make eye contact and smile politely.
- Listen more and motivate the other to talk more by giving encouraging vocal but nonverbal cues, like the sound, hmm.
- Ask open-ended questions. For example, instead of ‘Are you doing okay?’, ask, ‘How are you doing?’.
- Use pauses to create and modify meanings of your words. For example, A woman without her man, is nothing. A woman, without her, man is nothing.
- Dress in a clean set of clothing according to the place and the people, be neatly groomed and smell good, in breath and body, both.
