1. Whenever you talk to someone, move your body in their direction, keep your body open, lean in slightly to listen better, make eye contact and smile politely.
  2. Listen more and motivate the other to talk more by giving encouraging vocal but nonverbal cues, like the sound, hmm.
  3. Ask open-ended questions. For example, instead of ‘Are you doing okay?’, ask, ‘How are you doing?’.
  4. Use pauses to create and modify meanings of your words. For example, A woman without her man, is nothing. A woman, without her, man is nothing.
  5. Dress in a clean set of clothing according to the place and the people, be neatly groomed and smell good, in breath and body, both.
